It's amazing how deceiving photos can be at really capturing the enormity of the glaciers. Glaciers are beautiful, even the ones covered in dirt. When we went on our Alaskan cruise we saw enormous ones(but didn't get to walk through cool blue ice tunnels!!). I remember there was one that was over a mile wide, but it was almost hard to decipher since it had so much dirt on it.
